Eye Candy from Chanel

Chanel 2012 pre-fall show was spectacular!  As always, the show killed it with their classic suits that never go out of style.  The real gems of the night had a gorgeous twist from the far east. With looks that were inspired by Indian fashion it was nearly impossible to pick favorites; but I tried!

First is the classic Chanel shape  paired with the jewelry and the thicker white tights gave the old school look a modern edge.

My next pick was a Chanel suit with a twist.  I loveeee the use of color and textile in this look:

Moving further East.. These amazing dresses that look almost as if they were wrapped around the models just by use of additional textures, color blocks and design.  We love the modern and Western twist on the traditional Sari.

Kurtas are worn by both men and women in Afghanistan, Pakistan , Nepal, India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka; the cut and lines are what make the difference in whether the design is geared towards a man or woman.  Traditionally, men wear the more straight-boxy cut as seen in the first photo below.  Paired with leggings and androgynous flats gave this look a perfect edge.  The second photo has a more feminine cut; more form fitting which makes it sexy in a very understated way.  Also paired with leggings for a more androgynous feel and beautiful accessories.

I cannot forget to mention the jewelry.  It was like living in a Middle Eastern fashion fantasy; LOVE!
