My favorite Hipsta Chick of the week

Though she made  minor fail on SNL I'm still standing behind my girl. (NERVES!!)
I think it was too early for her to make an appearance on a show like that... however, her modeling career could not have started soon enough.  Below are three fabulous photos of our dear Lana (formally known as Lizzy) doing her thang.  Rock it out girl.

Bells

Right now, I love all things 70's.  My high waisted bell bottom jeans are my go-to's for a night out.  The waist band cinches my body to make me look a size smaller than I really am.  I made sure to not have them hemmed and pair them with a 6 inch heel.  It elongates my legs because the shoes are completely covered which makes it hard to tell where I end and the shoes begin.  This creates a natural illusion that I am tall and thin!  Oh what a beautiful thing fashion is.  Below is a snapshot of an outfit with the bell bottoms, as well as a look I really loved from the Miss Sixty runway show from 2008.

Eye Candy from Chanel

Chanel 2012 pre-fall show was spectacular!  As always, the show killed it with their classic suits that never go out of style.  The real gems of the night had a gorgeous twist from the far east. With looks that were inspired by Indian fashion it was nearly impossible to pick favorites; but I tried!

First is the classic Chanel shape  paired with the jewelry and the thicker white tights gave the old school look a modern edge.

My next pick was a Chanel suit with a twist.  I loveeee the use of color and textile in this look:

Moving further East.. These amazing dresses that look almost as if they were wrapped around the models just by use of additional textures, color blocks and design.  We love the modern and Western twist on the traditional Sari.

Kurtas are worn by both men and women in Afghanistan, Pakistan , Nepal, India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka; the cut and lines are what make the difference in whether the design is geared towards a man or woman.  Traditionally, men wear the more straight-boxy cut as seen in the first photo below.  Paired with leggings and androgynous flats gave this look a perfect edge.  The second photo has a more feminine cut; more form fitting which makes it sexy in a very understated way.  Also paired with leggings for a more androgynous feel and beautiful accessories.

I cannot forget to mention the jewelry.  It was like living in a Middle Eastern fashion fantasy; LOVE!
